Last month our very own Nino Mogro attended a Career Day at ACORN Woodland Elementary in Oakland. There were many professionals there from lawyers to young inventors. The students were put into groups and they had about 10 minutes at each table to learn about a new profession. They were well prepared with greetings and a few questions. Representing Karmakanix, Nino naturally came in to talk to the kids about working in the Auto Industry. He brought in some model cars of an Audi and VW, and also a transparent plastic model of an engine to show the kids the inner workings of a motor. Nino and the students had a great time, and we want to thank ACORN Woodland and their faculty for the opportunity.

Some of you already know that Karmakanix has been working with charities for a few years now. For 2011 we are relaunching a our License Plate Frame Campaign with a new goal and new organizations. The way it works is for each free license plate frame you allow us to install on your vehicle, we will donate $1 towards local education foundations. The organizations we are teaming up with this year are the Making Waves Foundation, the Berkeley Public Education Foundation, and the Oakland Schools Foundation.
